Senior Mechanical and Equipment Engineer

Position:                     Senior Mechanical and Equipment Engineer

 

Description of duties:

Responsible for the mechanical design for battery cell components and systems, and the development of new process, equipment and facilities to make batteries. Specially, job duties include:

  1. Determine and manage the mechanical specifications for facility and equipment for any type of Lithium battery cells such as cylindrical, prismatic, pouch cells.
  2. Create and manage mechanical designs for battery cell components, systems, and related fixtures and jigs.
  3. Mechanical integration of battery cells, electromechanical components, and hardware.
  4. Support cell level mechanical design and validation requirements through cross functional collaboration between battery cell engineers and process engineers.
  5. Develop and improve Lithium-ion battery cell fabrication and testing process.
  6. Develop and review project planning documents such as project timelines, RFI/RFQs, FMEAs, Safety Risk Assessments, PM schedules, requirements/specifications, and Key Equipment Parameters.
  7. Complete technical reports and communicate results to the broader team.
  8. Develop the supplier’s network for Li-ion cell components.

Requirements:           Bachelor (or foreign degree equiv.) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related plus 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Equipment & Process Engineer, Engineering Project Supervisor or related.

Human Resources Manager

Position:  Human Resources Manager

 Description of duties:

 Responsible for developing policy & leading all human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, & organizational development. Specifically, the job duties include:

  1. Recruiting and Hiring: (a)Recruit and hire new employees by defining the future of the company’s recruiting strategy and hiring needs and developing metrics to analyze data and hiring trends. (b) Establish strategic and effective recruiting and sourcing methods including utilizing local and regional media or internet job boards, colleges and universities, community groups and organizations to implement the recruiting process and meet staffing plans. (c) Develop and plan community relations activities, including liaising with local HR and Business Development Organizations to build employer brand and proactively expanding our recruiting efforts through multiple channels. (d) Responsible for applicant screening criteria, interview questions, evaluation criteria, and recommendations for hire, and manage the full cycle recruitment process which includes sourcing candidates, screening applicants, arranging interviews, participating in the selection process which entails the tracking of all internal and external job applicants to generate status reports at each step in the recruiting and placement cycle. (e) Define localized technical career paths for Engineers and Technicians.
  2. Employee Relations and Organizational Development: (a) Design programs to ensure the fair treatment of employees and effective communication between employees and their managers. (b) Conduct investigations with varied levels of complexity and lead workshops and one-on-one sessions to coach individual employees, managers, and teams on prevention of employee relations issues. (c) Manage performance cases, providing performance feedback, employee engagement and retention, inclusion, and other topics related to manager effectiveness and employee performance.
  3. Training and Development: (a) Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses the company’s training needs, including training needs assessment, new employee orientation, management development, and measurement of the impact of training. (b) Select and contract with external training programs and consultants, planning and preparing training events and materials, and obtaining, organizing, and developing training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  4. Compensation and Benefits Management: (a) Develop and implement localized salary structure and the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises to lead the compensation review on annual basis. (b) Develop and implement a flexible scheme in differentiated engineering salary structures, taking into account talent needs at multiple international locations. (c) Provide competitive market research and prepare pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay levels that help to recruit and retain staff, and make recommendations to improve offered benefits, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention. (d) Manage and stay current on knowledge of all benefits and insurance programs and compile and maintain in-depth records of all existing benefits including data on the personal time off, holidays, health and wellness plans of each employee.
  5. Performance Management: (a) Design, develop and conduct performance evaluations and performance improvement plans and provide recommendations to maximize performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals. (b) Conduct ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are being used to effectively manage operations and identify and manage risks. (c) Utilize ongoing measures and observations to track employee performances and provide employees with ongoing feedback and analyze and report the results to the CFO.

Requirements:           Bachelor’s (or foreign degree equiv.) degree in any fields plus 2 years experience as a HR Manager, HR Generalist, Staffing Specialist or related.
